September 2, 2018 - The Fifth Jubilee Sea Dance festival opened with fantastic performances on the main stage, as well as parties on the beach stages that were full from the beginning to the end of the festival program! On the first night, the star of the evening was the most important music producer of all time, Nile Rodgers, who brought all festival lovers on a musical journey, lining up of some of the world's biggest hits in the last four decades, which he personally wrote and produced. From the ultimate disco hymns like "Good Times", "We Are Family" and "I Want Your Love", to the megahits of David Bowie and Madonna, "Let's Dance" and "Like A Virgin", which have his signature! Given the great reception by the festival audience, Rodgers decided to open his heart and tell the audience about his recent victory over cancer. The music icon, who produced some of the world's most important hits, admitted that doctors gave him only a few months of life, but that his will to just write some of the greatest hits overcame the sickness. He added that he feels incredibly happy! The audience responded by turning on several thousand mobile phones, which looked like a real starry sky, and maestro Nile played perhaps the biggest dance hit of this decade, which he did in collaboration with Daft Punk and Pharrell - Get Lucky, in the new, soul version!

Such an incredible atmosphere was later taken over by the Belgian DJ Superstar Lost Frequencies, returning to Sea Dance as an even bigger star only a few years later with a number of new hits, among which the biggest single is "Crazy". He gladly accepted the invitation to return to Sea Dance, although the date of the Montenegrin festival was in the midst of his North American tour and posed major logistical problems. However, nothing prevented him from coming, and his explanation for return was very simple: "The performance with Skrillex on Sea Dance has remained in my memory as the best performance in my life and for me, Sea Dance is the best festival in the world!"

On the main stage, the Addiko Main Stage powered by the Budva Tourist Organization, the program began with the performance of Lutemania, which opened the festival Sea Star in Umag and Festival 84 in Jahorina, and soon afterward the soul man Marko Louis with the band played the true soul and funk of which were a great attraction at the Sea Dance festival. After that, the stage was taken over by the incredible rock band Van Gogh, which confidently ruled the scene and singing hits. Their frontman Dule said that "Exit Festival connects us all". Interestingly, the biggest commendation for Van Gogh came from members of the band Chic, who compared his performance on the Sea Dance festival with the concerts of the Foo Fighters and Muse! The equally burning atmosphere prevailed during the performance of the Oriental house master Burak Yeter. Well-known verses and hard rhymes were also present during the performance of Vojko Vrućina, better known as Vojko V, who gave the audience a fierce performance at dawn, and the explosive finish of the first day of the festival brought the satirical rhymes and infectious matrixes of the host Who See , who performed side by side with Split's rap star Kreša Bengalke.

The No Sleep platform also arrived this year from Exit at the Sea Dance festival, all before of its own No Sleep Festival, which will be held in Belgrade in mid-November. Antigone, Francois X and Shlømo, the absolute "dream team" of the leading French techno-stars of the new generation, filled the stage beside the sea, and kept the audience awake and partying with the sets which will be the talk of the techno scene for a long time after the festival. Regional masters in Split-Belgrade tandem DJ Jock and Ilija Đoković, Dubrovnik-Ulcinj tandem ČX b2b Sabinaa, as well as Herceg Novi-Novi Sad tandem P.S. b2b Techa created the top-level underground sound! The other stages of the Sea Dance Festival also had a  great atmosphere, so the audience was entertained by Danny Cruz, Rosske, Oysha, Mirko & Meex, Lucky Dee and Cavin Viviano, while Milan Kovacević, Mr. Fanatic and Dirty were in charge of the Huawei Silent Dance.

The main stage also shined with the most famous world duo DJ Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Filatov & Karas, as well as the regional stars Hladno Pivo, Sajsi MC and rap band Bassivity Showcase, while the futuristic No Sleep program led the fierce techno queen Nina Kraviz alongside Eagles & Butterflies and Sofia Rodina!
