May 27, 2018 - The choice in more than 90 percent of the cases falls to the hotels "Bečići" and "Korali" in Sutomore, which, as the school principals claim, meet all the necessary conditions required by the previous tendering procedure. This is an opportunity to receive many school children, have enclosed courtyards and sports fields close to beaches and offer an adequate and safe food choice.
"We are a great school, and it does not suit us to go to small hotels or resorts that have a capacity of 100 beds. It is essential that we can place a group in one hotel and this determines the choice of the hotel. For the time being, we have done schools in nature in Bečići / Rafaitavići, Sutomore, Tivat, and Čanj. In any case, the coast is attractive to children from our regions," said the director of Oktoih Primary School, Vukic Konjević.
Principals of primary schools "Štampar Makarije" and "Maksim Gorki," Milica Stanković and Snežana Irić, state that the choice of where to run the schools in nature.
"Until now, these were only in Bečići and Sutomore. Parents are aware that there are no facilities with such large accommodation capacities in other towns. Unfortunately, in the north, we do not have an object that could accommodate children in groups of about 160. And when we take them for an excursion in the ninth grade, e.g., in Zabljak, they are then accommodated in three hotels, which do not meet the conditions we are looking for to run the school in nature with their own yards, sports fields, etc.," said Iric.
These factors seem to condition, limit and form the number of places for children to attend school in nature, but as our collocutors suggest, the student's enthusiasm in no way diminished and they are still applying in high numbers to this kind of organized educational work.
