Drawing Classes for Comics Starting in Tivat on March 7

Learn how to draw comics and graphic novels this spring for free!

March 5, 2018 - The Cultural Center in Tivat, together with Montenegrin Association of Comic Drawers, is launching comic drawing and illustration classes free of charge. The classes start on March 7 and contain an introduction to the theory, history and essential elements of illustrations and comics, such as the scenario (drama), drawing, framing, editing and study. This class also includes a detailed look at character creation, as well as costume design and anatomy. Learners will go through the process of planning a storyboard and using some of the narrative techniques that are unique to this kind of visual narrative. The class is free and intended for all ages and for beginning and experienced illustrators alike.

The classes are held by famous the Montenegrin comic author and illustrator, and founder of the Montenegrin Association of Comic Drawers Simon Vučković at the Tivat Public Library every Wednesday from 17:00 to 18:30h and continue throughout the entire school year.
