Perfect Weekend Getaway on Zeta River

June 18, 2018 - Slap is a hamlet on the old Danilovgrad - Glava Zete - Ostrog Monastery - Road, and was until recently only known for a small HPP built during the Yugoslav era.

The Zeta river is a 65 km long river that meanders through the whole Bjelopavlići valley and flows into the Morača river just a couple of miles north of Podgorica.

Only eight kilometers from Danilovgrad, the local family recently opened the restaurant "Splav Slap" that is specialized in preparing Zeta trout from their own farm. Served with homemade olives, homemade Bjelopavlići cheese, and good homemade Vranac wine, Zeta trout is something you shouldn't miss on your trip to Ostrog Monastery.
