Zugic and Joshi: Stronger Economic Cooperation between US and MNE is Preferable

Economic collaboration between Montenegro and the United States of America needs to be stronger in the next period, and this is to be achieved by alluring more investments from America, stated the governor of the Central bank (CBMNE) Radoje Zugic and representative of the American Embassy in Podgorica Vivek Joshi.

Zugic introduced the current banking system to Joshi, the deputy of the chief for politics and economy in the embassy of USA in Podgorica. The current banking system improved businesses' parameters in the last year, and the system itself is now more stable and safe.

The interlocutors, as announced from CBMNE, said that they are happy with the current collaboration between Montenegro and the USA and have realistic expectations to additionally improve the same in the future period, especially in economically throughout more significant investments by American citizens visiting Montenegro.

Zugic and Joshi both agreed that American investors should be additionally encouraged, especially financially.

Zugic added that specific vulnerabilities noticed in the system previously are now significantly reduced.

There were discussions at the meeting about the collaboration between CBMNE and the International Monetary Fund (MMF) and their positive estimations related to the conditions of the Montenegrin economy during the last mission.
