In the previous three months, there has been a significant increase in banana prices on the domestic and regional markets. According to the data of retail chains, the purchase price of banana has increased by 50% in the last three months.

Currently, there is an unprecedented shortage of bananas in the world market, due to natural disasters and the unstable political situation in the countries that are the biggest producers of bananas.

In the domestic retail market, the price reached a record-breaking €1.8 per kilogram. Yesterday, bananas could be bought for €1.4-€1.5 in retail stores in Montenegro.
