29 October 2018 - The Government of Montenegro will continue to strongly support the development of the north through current and future projects in the area of infrastructure improvement, in particular projects that should contribute to strengthening the economy, creating new jobs and improving the quality of life of citizens of municipalities in the north.

Officials from the Government of Montenegro held a meeting in Pljevlja with the presidents of eight municipalities in Northern Montenegro. The meeting was organised on the margins of the National Conference on Agriculture and Rural Development. The conference was attended by the presidents of the municipalities of Pljevlja, Bijelo Polje, Mojkovac, Žabljak, Šavnik, Andrijevica, Petnjica and Kolašin.

"We had an opportunity and the pleasure to talk to the presidents of the municipalities in the north. This was an excellent opportunity to discuss all current projects implemented in these municipalities, as well as projects that should start next year, through the new capital budget for 2019," noted the representatives of the Government of Montenegro.

The meeting emphasised the need to continue communication between the state institutions and local self-government and identify new development opportunities in the field of agriculture, energy, wood industry and other fields, which will result in new projects for the benefit of the citizens.

The presidents of municipalities expressed their satisfaction with the Government's support.

"The formula of joint success is our common, open and continuous communication," as concluded from both sides.
