23 October 2018 - Mayor of Podgorica Ivan Vuković with associates, and the management of the LLC Vodovod i kanalizacija (Montenegrin Water Supply System), represented by Executive Director Vladan Vučelić and Chairman of the Board of Directors Petar Živković, will sign a contract for the implementation of the Wastewater Collection and Treatment Project with consulting company Fichtner from Stuttgart on October 26, in the premises of KFW Bank in Frankfurt. The signing of the contract represents the finalization of the preparatory phase of this extremely important project for the Capital City of Montenegro.
In the previous period, the Capital City has been carefully working on the preparation of the required documents - Feasibility studies. Necessary donations were obtained with the help of Western Balkans Investment Framework in the amount of 10 million EUR, and through the loan arrangement with KFW bank, 35 million EUR were secured, which fulfilled all assumptions for the start of the implementation of the mentioned project.
By signing the Contract with the consulting company, Podgorica is entering the first phase of the project implementation, ie the phase focused on work on the project documentation and the tender document with the aim of making an international public call for the selection of the contractor.
