25. INFOFEST in Budva

October 3, 2018 - INFOFEST 2018 in Budva is bringing together more than 1000 ITC professionals.

The 25th edition of the Festival of Informatics Achievements - Infofest 2018 is taking place at Budva hotel Avala. The international conference is jointly organized by the Montenegrin Ministry of Public Administration and the Business Link consulting company.

This year's festival brought together more than a thousand representatives of the ICT sector, state and financial institutions, the telecommunications and energy sector, industry, public companies and other important business entities, as well as renowned experts and independent ICT authorities.

The program includes world technology leaders - Oracle, Microsoft, Fujitsu, SAP, HPE, Symantec etc, leading ICT companies from the region - Saga, TeleGroup, Lanaco, SBS, S & T, Čika, SBS etc, as well as local companies Montenegro Telekom, Post of Montenegro, and Elektroprivreda Crne Gore.

Expert lectures at Infofest 2018 relate to the Future of Artificial Intelligence (Dejan Cvetković, CTO, Microsoft) and to the "green" data center (Jorn Scaane, CEO, Lafdal mine). The post of Montenegro is a consultant of "Digital Postal Territory", and a group of Montenegrin universities presents the ErasmusPlus project for the improvement of study projects in healthcare. The Montenegrin Chamber of Commerce organizes a joint presentation of nine Montenegrin ICT companies, along with the Montenegrin Association of Managers, and the panel discussion "Digital Economy: Now or Immediately?".

A forum on "The Future of Blockchain Technology" was also held. The Festival includes also a traditional regional Scientific-Professional Conference "ICT Pulse", which presents the best works, selected by the public invitation of the organizer. Infofest also organizes consulting on the role of information technology in contemporary sports, and the holder of this part of the program is the Montenegrin Olympic Committee.

A special international program feature for this year's INFOFEST was the 16th International Conference "Regulatory Activity in the Electronic Communications Sector", which was organized by the Agency for Electronic Communications of Montenegro and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Within the "INFOFEST Exhibition" at the Avala hotel hall, there are 14 info tables for companies. In accordance with the festival educational mission, the Organizer has provided entry for 100 students free of charge to INFOFEST 2018.

INFOFEST 2018 at the Hotel Avala lasts until October 6th.
