12 September 2018 - At today’s session, chaired by President of the Council and Prime Minister Duško Marković, Montenegro’s Council for Privatisation and Capital Projects discussed the Report on the results of the negotiations on the international public tender for the long-term lease of the Military Resort Mediteran in Žabljak and instructed the Tender Commission to resume negotiations.

The tender for the tourist valorisation of the site of the former military-tourism resort Mediteran in Žabljak was announced on December 5, 2013, but the deadlines for submission of tenders were prolonged several times due to the lack of significant interest of the investors.

At the public call announced on September 13, 2017, a consortium consisting of "CG SKI doo" Žabljak and "Baltic International Trading" from Tallinn, Estonia submitted a bid for the long-term lease of 30 years and the construction of a five-star hotel resort, with the total investment worth EUR 5,4 million.
