880 New Accommodation Units with Four and Five Stars in Montenegro

Montenegro should, according to expectations, get 880 new accommodation units in the four and five-star category this year, said the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism.

June 7, 2018 - In this government's department, the tourist offer this year has already been enriched with several high category hotels, which opened on the coast and in Podgorica. "The 4-star Hotel Perla Residence, which has 28 apartments and 65 beds, is open in Podgorica. The newly renovated former hotel Rivijera in Njivice is now open under the brand name of Iberostar. This hotel has four stars after remodeling and consists of three buildings, with a total of 190 accommodation units and 376 beds," isaid the Ministry.

Another hotel within the Iberostar brand is, as they added, soon to be opened in Perast. The renovated hotel Jadran will have five stars and will have 133 accommodation units and 250 beds. Recently, Hotel Holiday Village Montenegro in Ulcinj opened, which was leased by Karisma. The hotel has four stars, 257 accommodation units and 834 beds.

"Works at the Chedi Hotel, the first one in the Luštica Bay project, are in the late phase and the opening is expected soon. This 5-star hotel will have 110 rooms. A five-star tourist resort in Dobrota is expected this month, with 89 accommodation units and about 250 beds. Hotel Lazaret in Herceg Novi is also being remodeled, which will have 24 accommodation units of five stars," added the Ministry, underlining the expected opening of new hotels in Budva and Tivat.

During 2016 and 2017, the Ministry issued 68 opinions on the technical documentation of high category hotel projects, with a total estimated value of over 350 million euros.
