The President of the Budva municipality, Dragan Krapovic, made a decision on the prices of taxi services, which will come into force on July 1st.

The Secretary of the Secretariat for Economy, Marko Markovic, said that it is necessary to introduce order in the taxi business, especially when we are approaching the summer season. He points out that the decision was made in an urgent procedure because the session of the local assembly was not held due to the lack of quorum. The decision on the prices of taxi services in Budva comprises three tariffs - daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and a lump sum price for the contracted free ride.

"A lump sum ride can be arranged at the request of a passenger for a predetermined route, and the fare cannot be higher than the current taxi fare of the driver," said the decision.

Within each tariff, the minimum and maximum price for each individual service is determined. Services that are subject to charging are the start-up, mileage, one-hour wait, arrival at the address and transport per baggage item.

The minimum start price is 50 cents, and the maximum is one euro. The minimum fare per kilometer is 70 cents and a maximum of 1.8 euro. The minimum waiting price is six euros per hour and a maximum of 12 euro per hour. The cost of arrival at the address, as well as luggage transport, is not charged. The driver may, at the request of the passenger, stipulate a lump sum price for a pre-determined route.
