A Russian construction company paid almost 700,000 euro at the beginning of the week as a charge of the utility fees for a commercial apartment building in Becici.

May 19, 2018 - This has confirmed that Russian builders are still one of the major players in the most profitable business in the metropolis of tourism and construction.

The Urban Planning Secretariat is swamped with the requirements for issuing urban-technical conditions because this part of the work is left to be done by the local administration.

A large number of requests are still coming from Russian citizens, who, apart from apartments and residential facilities, are building villas and holiday homes mostly in the area of Paštrovići and in the hinterland of St Stefan, Miločer, and Reževići

This most significant financial injection is more than welcome, because just in the past month and a half, due to numerous court decisions in the name of bad contracts the former government had signed, two million euro has been 'withdrawn' from the municipal court. The last compulsory charge was from a Russian builder who was charged about 680,000 euro for not fulfilling the obligations by the local administration - former and the present. About 50,000 euro per week is paid into the Budva Municipality’s account on behalf of the utility fees.
