June 6, 2018 - About two weeks ago, European Parliament hosted an annual food exhibition 'Terra Madre' which brought authentic products from the Balkan region to the EU table in Brussels. Montenegro was presented by the local branch of the Slow Food international organization promoting traditional food from the Northern part of the country. TMN had a talk with the enthusiasts of Slow Food Montenegro Sabina Ramovic and Ivana Milicevic about their passionate work and participation in the exhibition in Brussels.

Kotor farmer’s market, under its Medieval walls, is a famous attraction on the Montenegrin coast. It is definitely worth visiting, especially on Saturday morning when the farmer’s stalls are the richest. If you are in Kotor on any other weekday, however, don’t miss an opportunity to check out the local goods and taste some unusual delicacies.

The beautiful springtime brings luxurious vegetation to the charming Mediterranean gardens of the Montenegrin coast, and together with stunning blossoming roses, another thorny bush appears. Many homeowners (especially those not used to the local nature) consider these tenacious offshoots a lousy weed and try to remove it from their gardens immediately, making the biggest botanical mistake.

The first specialized Center for Autism, Developmental Disorders and Child Psychiatry in Montenegro was opened today in Podgorica. The institution is named after Ognjen Rakočević, who died in the spring of 2016.

“See you in 5 minutes” is a lie that is actually true, though it only depends on how you measure the time. When someone in Montenegro says “see you in 5 minutes”, it usually means “see you in half an hour" or so.
