August 17, 2018 - The Montenegrin guitar duo, made up of Goran Krivokapić and Danijel Cerovic, has recently released another album, performing the 4th, 5th and 6th edition of "English Suites" by Johannes Sebastian Bach, recorded in Toronto last year. The album is released under the label of the prestigious publishing house "Naxos". This is a kind of sequel to the CD from the first three "English Suites", which three years ago, Danijel and Goran recorded in collaboration with Grammy award winner and one of most prestigious producers in the world - Norbert Kraft.

The new CD release has recently been promoted at the Qinling Festival in Xi'an, China, which, since its inception, brings together the most eminent names from the world of classical guitar musicians. After that, it was promoted on the "The Silk Raod Tour" in the cities of Lanz, Vuvei, Jinchang and Dunhuang, which once upon a time were on the path of the ancient silk road.

The album has come to an excellent reception by the critics and public:

Thus, London's "Gramophone" magazine, in its latest issue, brings the critique by William Dzoumen, in which "the precision of the ensemble, the clarity, the articulation, the rhythmic vitality and the lively intrusion" is compared to the performances of the Presti-Lago duet and Assad brothers duet. For the connoisseurs of guitar sounds, these two discs are a must-have - says David Danton in his “David's Review Corner”.

With their interpretation of Bach's suites, these two great guitarists intrigued the attention of the Belgian music audience.

"Pure, warm, intimate, in one sentence, fantastically resonant. Magnificent! It should not be missed," says the review written by Michel Dutrie for the famous Belgian magazine "Stretto".

The album is promoted on the BBC 3 radio program as well as hundreds of radio stations across the United States. The promotion of this release will continue in the coming months as part of the "Qinling" festival in China, as well as on concerts of upcoming tours in Korea, China, Germany, Estonia and Portugal. The album promotion in Montenegro is scheduled for September.

The second album of the guitar duo with 4, 5 and 6 "English suites" by Johannes Sebastian Bach can be found on the Apple music store and Deezer. The first edition of the Montenegrin Guitar Duet, labeled "Naxos", where the first three "English Suites" can be found, also thrilled the world's music audience.

"These transcripts have been brilliantly played. Brief statements give the irresistible energy of rhythm and joy," said the review by the famous “American Record Guide”, and WGBH radio from Boston declared it the album of the week.

"The performances are straightforward and precise. This CD needs to be available, and the next edition is eagerly awaited," Paskal Prust pointed out for "Guitare Classique."

The Montenegrin Duet also saw many other greetings from eminent international music magazines and portals, such as "Soundboard", "ClassicToday" and many others.

By listening to the first three Suites from the album, renowned music critic David Denton, in his review, pointed out that Montenegrin musicians managed to keep up with the original Bach partitions, even though dressing them in new clothes, and bring them to total perfection. The album is promoted in prestigious world-wide concert halls around the world, such as the "Het Concertgebouw" in Amsterdam, the “Manuel de Falla” stage in Madrid, the Philharmonic Hall in San Pietersburg, the “Olympus Hall” in Seoul, and the “Heliconian Hall” in Toronto. During the tour, Cerovic and Krivokapić also participated at some prestigious festivals such as the “Guitar Foundation of America” in Denver, and “Guitarras del Mundo“ in Buenos Aires.

The Montenegrin guitar duo was formed in 2005. Their repertoire includes the transcriptions of Renaissance and Baroque music, as well as the original composition from the 19th century. A special place belongs to the contemporary music originally written for two guitars. In the last couple of years, the duo has been awarded the status of a world-renowned music ensemble, which has held hundreds of concerts around the world, including a program featuring two CD releases, prestigious festivals, concert series and auditoriums in Argentina, USA, Canada, Germany, Denmark, Poland, China, South Korea, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, etc. Since 2013, they have been co-operating with the publishing house "Naxos".
