16 September 2018 - From September 11-16, the Ministry of Economy of Montenegro, the Investment Development Fund, Chamber of Economy, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro, have organized the participation of Montenegrin businesspeople within the national stand of Montenegro at the 51st International Trade and Business Fair in Celje (MOS 2018).

On behalf of the Montenegrin delegation, the Director General of the Directorate for Industry and Transformation of the Ministry of Economy, Goran Nikolić, pointed out the importance of the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Montenegro and wished for all exhibitors from the national stand of Montenegro to attain new business contacts that will result in concrete business cooperation and the realization of new business ideas.

In addition to the Montenegrin exhibitors, the opening of the 51st International Trade and Business Fair was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Investment Development Fund, Zoran Vukčević and the President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, Vlastimir Golubović.

Taking into consideration the long-standing tradition of the Celje Fair, the opportunities open through the participation and presentation of numerous Montenegrin companies at the fair, as well as the organization of B2B meetings, presentations of Montenegrin business environment, investment environment and the country’s potential, Montenegro accepted the invitation of the organizers for the partnership on the 52nd Celje International Fair, which will be organized in 2019 (MOS 2019).

Within the cooperation through the model of the partner country, it is possible to organize a bilateral economic summit involving representatives of the state and private sectors from both countries, which creates numerous opportunities for the establishment of more concrete cooperation and for experience transfers in different areas between Montenegro and Slovenia.

The Celje International Trade and Business Fair is a business and trade fair event that attracts more than 1,400 exhibitors and more than 120,000 visitors every year with the aim of helping exhibitors with the acquisition of new customers, company growth, expansion of sales programmes, finding new suppliers and finding new solutions. As in the previous year, in addition to participants from the countries of the region, the European Union and the countries of the world, 30 Montenegrin companies from different industrial and service sectors have been presented at the fair. Aside from the products and services of the companies, the Montenegrin delegation has also presented the investment environment in Montenegro.

During the six days of the fair, Montenegrin businesspeople have intensively worked on networking and thus have the opportunity to provide better positioning of domestic brands in the foreign market in the future.
