June 19, 2018 - The Ski Center Savin Kuk has prepared for the summer holiday season with various activities including ones for mountain lovers, active vacation, rs and nature lovers, ranging from adrenaline to tasting homemade food and drinks in the restaurants located at the foot of the popular ski resort.

The Ski Center points out that besides unfavorable weather conditions, the season started well, and the number of visitors is increasing each day. Out of all the activities they have to offer, the panoramic ride by cable-cars leading to Savin Kuk, one of the highest peaks of the Durmitor at an altitude of 2,313 meters, it is still the most frequented one.

The price of a panoramic cable car ride is seven euro for adults, four euro for children under 14, and five euro per groups of 20 and more people. There is also free parking for about 200 vehicles.

"For the panoramic ride, there are two two-seater cable-cars of 1,550 meters in length (first) and 700 meters (second), which connect the foot and the top of Savin Kuk. Visitors go down to the Savina water source, which represents a special tourist attraction, since the source is at an altitude of 2,212 meters and it never dries, and the water from that source, according to the legend, is curative. From the springs of the Savina, by a ten-minute hiking trip, visitors go to the top of the Savin Kuk, which is at an altitude of 2,313 meters. There are two telescopes for panoramic sightseeing at this location, so the tourists can enjoy the view on the mountains and other beauties of Žabljak, with a special emphasis on the beauty of the lakes in Durmitor, the River Tara canyon, and the most spectacular peaks," said Milutin Tomic, acting director of the Ski center.

At the foot of the ski slopes, guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful ambiance, national food and drinks from the Durmitor sijelo restaurant and cafe Bar Kulin, which also operates within the Durmitor tourist center. From the additional contents offered by TC Durmitor, at the foot of the ski resort there is an adventure park that spreads over an area of 3,800 m2. The park is built on artificial trees, made of wood and consists of four adventurous-climbing trails that are filled with numerous obstacles and amenities. In addition to the training courses, three more trails are built: yellow, blue and red, 100 to 130 meters long.

"The cost of the park service is five euro for children up to eight years, or seven euro for older children and adults. Also, there is free parking for 200 vehicles and a playground for children that consists of two towers, three slides, a playhouse, six swings, a sandbox, a balance bar, a trampoline and four children's cars," Tomić says, noting that they expect the rainy days in June to be over and more sunny days, which, as he estimated, is a major precondition for a successful summer season.
