June 17, 2018 - Although some of the world's airline companies have announced that they will raise ticket prices due to the increase of fuel costs, Montenegro Airlines (MA) assures that they will not do as such.

The national airline company Montenegro Airlines does not plan to increase ticket prices at this time, although the oil prices in the world market jumped in April by more than eight percent and reached the highest level since the end of 2014.

"Last year, MA paid the average fuel price 12.5 percent more than in 2016. Even under such conditions, the company did not increase its service prices, but instead compensated the increased fuel costs with the optimal flight planning during 2017, as well as the reduction of other fixed and direct operational costs, all in a degree that would not endanger the safety of the passengers, crew and the fleet. Despite this, MA has achieved business performance that is 2.5 times better in the past year than in 2016. We will keep this model in the company and, of course, we will carefully monitor the events on the market and bring the best business decision for the company and our customers," said MA.
