08 October 2018 - Barbara Munjas, a famous musician from Croatia, is coming to Montenegro as part of her rich tour of this year, and all interested parties will have the opportunity to hear the solo material she has created in recent years.

On October 15, this author known for her singing in the bands Barbari and Gustafi, will perform in Podgorica, and later in Nikšić.

Barbara Munjas is a musician born in Rijeka, Croatia. From 2007 until the very end of 2012 she was part of the Istrian band Gustafi, and in early 2013, together with several other friends, she founded the band Barbari.

Barbari recorded two albums, "Monfiorenzo Underground" (2013) and "Santa Barbara" (2014) with whom the band managed to draw attention and attract public support and criticism. At the end of 2015, they won the best performance award at the Karlovačko RockOff Festival. During her singing in the Barbari band, Barbara Munjas worked with Sara Renar on her single "Ljubav" (English: Love).

In the beginning of 2017, Barbara focused on a new direction in her musical work; she left aside her native language and started writing in English. Apart from changing the language, she also changed the music itself, which draws a different atmosphere than that which was present in Barbari band.

Barbara is currently recording an album with Alen Bernobić, Marko Kalčić and Goran Salvi. Recently, she has had another cooperation with the band MDOS on their the first single “Na dlanu“ (English: "On the palm"). In addition to her band "Barbara Munjas Calligraphy", Barbara also sings solo within a project which she likes to call "Flesh and bones", because within this project she presents songs that are completely “bare”, the very core of her creation, the skeleton on which the rest of her story is being built. The new album is being recorded in Pula in collaboration with the music producer Marijan Jelenić (Nola), and it should see the light of day during 2019.
