13 September 2018 - On behalf of the Government and on his own behalf, Prime Minister Duško Marković congratulated the citizens, members of the Municipal Assembly and the leadership of Žabljak, the Municipality Day – September 17, saying that the Government will continue to support development projects, especially in the Northern region, which directly influences raising citizen's living standards.
The Montenegrin Government is committed to supporting the development of the North in full capacity and they have identified opportunities for joint development and investment activities for the future.
President of Žabljak Municipality, Veselin Vukićević, President of the Municipal Assembly, Vidoje Tomčić, and Vice President of the Municipality, Vasilije Jakšić, informed the Prime Minister about the implementation of municipal projects, including the second phase of water supply reconstruction, reconstruction and construction of several roads, public garages and the city square.
Noting that Žabljak regularly fulfils all obligations towards the employees, the state and the contractors and that it does not owe a single cent, the President of the Municipality thanked the Prime Minister for his commitment to the development of the Northern Region.
Prime Minister Marković concluded that, in the past year, Žabljak was one of the examples of successful projects and excellent cooperation with the Government aimed at improving the tourist offer, strengthening the local infrastructure and quality response to the needs of citizens.
